Building it

How it was built is illustrated by the photos below. Don't forget to do the electrical wiring before doing the interior decoration. Behind the mountain containing the waterfall I built a canal for the power cord to the pump and the fogger.

As background color I used a thick plastic color where you get a bit of a structure in the color. I painted it down on the floor to prevent the MDF from swelling due to high humidity.

The 'rocks' where made in two different ways. At the bottom I used cement which I colored with a dry color from an artists store. Burnt Sienna gives a red-brown background which looks nice with a green iguana on to of it. This was a very good solution although I just to little color. However, this method was not a good idea higher up, it just didn't stick. There I used the same stuff that is used to tile e.g. a bathroom. This becomes very sticky and was easy to apply. Due to it's stickyness it was kind of hard to make nice natural rock forms. Use rubber gloves! I also added some metal net here and there for stability. This was simply nailed to the back and the walls.
